Michelle Lee has been teaching in Las Vegas for over 10 years and has a studio of over 40 students. Her students have garnered awards at the Silver State Competition, Bolognini Competition, Bushell Competition, and they actively participate in a variety of other music festivals and events. Ms. Lee studied piano performance with Gary Amano under full scholarship at Utah State University, where she received her degree in Piano Pedagogy.
Ms. Lee is a board member of the Las Vegas Music Teachers Association. She is the current chairperson of the Ensemble Festival and Legacy Competition, and a past chairperson of the Silver State Competition.
Michelle Lee has also been a collaborative pianist for over 20 years. She is a staff accompanist at the Nevada School of the Arts and a free-lance vocal and instrumental accompanist. She has served as the rehearsal/performance pianist for numerous opera productions at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Utah State University. She has been a staff pianist multiple times at the Big Bear Lake Song Festival. In addition Ms. Lee has accompanied at competitions in Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and California. She has accompanied in previous years for the Las Vegas Desert Suzuki Institute and is excited to be part of the team again this year!
